Forbes Silverthorne
Vice President, Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Forbes is responsible for ensuring the organization's operating team continually delivers value to our clients according to our Three Tiers of Value: Reducing Energy Use, Improving Standards of Performance, and Maximizing Effectiveness of Asset Renewal.
With over 16 years in the Building Automation & Controls industry, Forbes' responsibilities have focused on the design, implementation, monitoring and operation of building automation systems in a wide variety of applications including commercial office, industrial, institutional, multi-unit residential, condominiums, mission-critical facilities and hospitals.
Early in his career Forbes realized that designing and implementing a truly effective building automation system is a significant challenge when the manner in which buildings operate is difficult to predict and their specific needs evolve over time.
By paying close attention to the relationships between building automation systems, the equipment they control, and how they react to the dynamics of building use and operation, Forbes has consistently delivered results in balancing comfort and uptime with energy conservation.
Forbes earned a Bachelor of Science from Trent University, majoring in Physics and Environmental Science.
